Den Haag
Daylighthouse: daylight and the experience of light.

This house is part of the typical Dutch row housing part of the city and is designed by trying to maximize the experience of daylight and space. Large windows, a double height in the living room, a roof light above the staircase and a daylight room on the top floor provide a lot of natural daylight.

The facades are cladded with wood and concrete that give the house a natural look and feeling. Wooden window frames with triple glazing, floor heating, mechanical ventilation and high insulation provide a comfortable, healthy and low energy interior climate. Together with solar panels and solar boilers the house is energy neutral.
